ah... chinese new year.. what a love-hate relationship we have between us.. the fact that i get to eat more goodies, at the same time i have to slogged my mind out getting them done makes me love and hate it..

i dreamed a dream of pineapple tarts a couple of nights ago.. and it stay struck in my mind ever since..

we made pineapple tarts over the weekend.. how many pineapple tarts can 4kg of flour yield, i do not know.. though i do know i must have seen hundreds of them n ate at least a dozen of spoils.. but we ran out of pastry and had about 50 odd pineapple balls as leftovers.. my mamma chuck them into the fridge, hoping to get them done at a later date..

that night i had one hell of a dream.. i dreamt that my mamma bought more pineapples home and started making pineapple tarts again.. makes me feel that i slept and fell into the pineapples' version of hell.. argh.. revenge of the pineapples.. hahaha.. what a dream.. roar..

anyway.. i had mamma's confirmation that she isn't gonna make them anymore.. alas.. but there's still plenty of food to dream of.. who knows, i might dream of popcorns melting me in the pan or cookies baking me in the oven in the days to come..

well... at least today was funny.. i know i am suppose to do my work, but the urge to go out and have fun for an hour or so seems so tempting.. i had a book which i need for my essay on hold in the library，hehehe.. so i went and get it, at the same time, took a weeeee advantage too.. it was the glenferrie festival and i couldn't miss it~~~ the fun~ i walk through the whole stretch.. the fresh air was good for my brain too.. ooooh.. the excuses i can think up~ hahaha...

and i actively dislike my school's mail centre for the moment.. i was expecting something through the mail and they had to drag it to monday to pass it to the reception when they had have it on friday morning~ darn them~ roar~~~ hahaha... the woes of staying on-campus... darn~

the only thing that i currently hate the most now is defintely the weather.. how can the stupid idiotic themometer hit a degree of 40c.. roar... is that even humane.. lucky it's not as bad as what adelaide is facing.. heard on the news that they have been facing this sort of crazy weather for about 12 days already and it's still going to be that bad throughout the easter.. roar.. isn't it suppose to be autumn here.. what kind of autumn is it.. autumn time is suppose to be cooling or cold~ where's the wind and the rain.. hahaha.. owner~~~ let's switch weather can? hohoho~~~ it's been a long time since i last blog~ and i mean LONG~ this is definitely the first post of the new year~ i know its late~ but HAPPY 2008~~~ hahaha.. have been home for like 2 months and i am getting fatter~~ roar~~ XD it must be all those food~ hahaha..

cny is just around the corner and my house have now officially become a central for baking pineapple tarts and cookies~ and my job is to sit in front of the oven and be semi-baked by it, taste every batch of sweets that comes out of it and doing all the washing up in the end.. the life of maria~~~ hahahaa...

2007 has passed and here's 2008~ and ta-da~~~ i am so glad to announce that i have passed all my modules for this semester~~~ o-ya~ hail myself~ and joy to the world~ XD my new resolution this coming semester is to try and save some cash and not be so money-parting happy.. hahaha.. i seems to have a talent at parting with my pocket money with no second thoughts.. XP and that is very very very bad.. XD

oh heaven oh earth oh anything~ life for my laptop seems to be full of disasters this semester..

first, the battery seems to have die on their own after i come back to australia.. then ytd, i have to be so dumb enough not to check on the cap of my water bottle and stuff the bloody thing together into the same bag as my poor laptop.. and shit~ disaster occur.. the dumb bottle leaked... with my freaking laptop in the bag.. argh~~~~~~ then my friend suggest blowing the electrical components with a hair dryer borrow from her friend.. and of course we blew it.. then i came back and wait for a couple of hours to on it.. and it took like forever to on and off.. so i decide to dump it in front of the heater for the whole night.. and it seems to work fine.. but just that i think it seems a little slow on the side.. hahaha.. maybe i should put it in front again tonight..

oh man.. what an idiota i am.. should have known water bottle and laptop might brew disaster... common garden sense all in the drain yesterday..

hahaha.. and i have an essay due tomorrow..

hahaha.. my friends and i were talking about something the other day and one of them spoke of the docklands.. asking how do get to it.. hahaha.. i went there and took some pictures of it before so i show her.. then we both say that it reminds us of home.. hahaha.. what the earth.. same sentiments from the both of us.. XD but considering that the both of us comes from places that is so near to the coast.. it does remind us of home.. and really it feels great to just sit there and look at the sea.. XD well.. docklands isn't the beach so i had to get to a beach.. therefore i went to brighton beach today.. hahaha.. yay~ wanted to go st kilda but i rather want to see the colorful bath houses so i went to brighton instead.. XD the sea smells and look the same.. hahaha... and it's even nicer then sentosa or east coast..XP but i saw a couple of washed-up jellyfishes.. they are gross.. hahaha.. i overheard a mum telling her kid not to go near one.. and she says 'don't go near it, hon.. remember watching bondi rescue?' hahaha.. i remember the monday's episode of it.. the attack of the bluebottles~ hahaha... ok... half term and i am alive like usual.. hahaha... XD long easter break.. and loving it.. but poor me.. i have a darn presentation next week and i still has not prepare.. roar~ went to ikea richmond today.. hahaha.. actually wanted to do work in the park but there were so many kids there.. and the first thing i felt went i step into ikea was that 'whoa~ i'm home~' hahaha... no.. serious.. it really has that feel.. XD seems like no matter where you are, once you are in ikea.. 'boom~ you're home, sunshine~' hahaha... it's just so similar... even the Swedish meatballs taste the same just that back home, it's more chao da and hard~ hahaha... just that i think they gave too little sauce and jam.. roar~ i want more.. XD and i walked.. hahaha.. from burnley to victoria garden.. don't ask how i did it if you know the distance between them.. hahaha.. i have a one-way track mind.. just follow the line, that's how.. hohoho~

add in: hahaha.. mediacorp's channel 5 has decided to make a local version of 'deal or not deal'... what the earth~ hahaha... it's a great show.. makes one excited if the contestants are great.. but singaporeans playing 'deal or no deal'... i wonder.. will definitely catch some episodes when i go home in june~ really.. singaporeans and 'deal and no deal'.. mmm... hope it's as good as what they have here.. i never knew how sweet and touching my papa could be.. hahaha.. not that he isn't sweet and touching, but it's just that he never really openly show us that side of his.. hahaha... and we all inherit this trait.. XD
but while i was trying to make my room need a while ago, i found a stack of letters that my papa had send to my mama when he was working in kuwait many many years ago. that was before they got marry..

well, just in case anyone is reading this entry and cursing this unfilial daughter for prying into my parents' privacy.. hahaha.. my mama 'volunteer' those letters to me.. XD so i get to read their utmost 'private' love letters.. not that they were mushy and stuffs..

i can never express how much i love snail mail.. when i was in secondary school, me and my pals would write to each others occasionally.. even though we do see each others everyday.. the anticipation of waiting and never knowing what's inside there was very fun.. of course we do get disappointed some time if the letters that we expected did not appear.. hahaha.. most of the time it's me who never reply.. XP i always have people writing to tell me, "wei, must reply hor.".. my best pal and frequent sender would often put in extra stuffs to surprise me.. the likes of bookmarks, stickers, cute plasters, and pictures of the artistes we like that time pop up inside.. the stamps on the letters sometimes can go up to 50cents or a dollar..

reading my papa's letters.. always starting with 'how are things with you.. are everything fine over there..' is so touching.. the little things that bring tears into people's eyes.. the little questions.. he would describe his days in kuwait.. his little apartment.. his meals.. his works.. his fustration.. his joy in recieving my mama's letters.. he would often state when he got those letters.. my papa can be that precise.. XD and it still has never change.. hahaha... his letters would often end with a p.s. about his mistakes in spelling and that he didn't have the time to re-read the letter again as he's rushing off somewhere.. my papa can be that cute.. alas.. those young days.. XD as the days passed.. they get more and more sentimental.. though there no love words.. hahaha.. still those normal plain good old stuffs.. but you can feel a difference.. i found another side of my papa which is so cool.. i also found out that in those days his handwriting is so hard to read.. thank god it got better when he was teaching me how to read and write when i was a kid.. the agony of reading those letters.. hahaha.. poor mama... XD but she is used to it i guess.. oops..

but what a waste.. i will never get to see my mama's replies to his letters.. that bad papa tore them all up while we were spring cleaning the house last year.. what the hell... hahaha.. and he still insist that he still had them and that he will hunt them up to prove his words.. hahaha.. ya.. ash to ash, dust to dust.. i can only imagine her replies..

compare to emails.. i guess i would still prefer letters.. so what emails is free.. snail mail can do even much more things that emails can't do.. XD go figure.. but nowadays the only snail mails that appear in my mailbox are all bills and flyers... hell.. what's going on around here... where are the good old snail mail times? hahaha.. rantings rantings and more mad rantings... XD

p.s. what the hell.. my lil bro just appear on the face of earth again.. hahaha.. he's currently sleeping in his 'new' bed now.. he got leave to come back from brunei.. this time i am reminding him to bring a camera along.. what's the use of going to another country and not taking any pictures back.. even my papa had pictures taken when he was in kuwait.. and of course his psp's charger.. he went without it 3 months ago.. luckily his friends there too had a psp.. so he got lucky..

hahaha... it's the day after the nation's birthday... and i have no break a.k.a holidays... how i envy the primary and secondary schools students... you people get an xtra day off u know... but they have to go back to school tomorrow... that i don't envy you... two days break then go back to school for friday lessons... it's lame... take mc lah... don't really like the parade yesterday... no offense... but it's kinda dull except for the highly anticipated fireworks which is very nice... there's nothing interesting anymore... but there seems to be a couple of conked up moments from where i am watching from the tv... like no sounds for a few minutes, balloons not lighting up, the poor flag-bearer shifting his arm a couple of times(not quite sure about it lah.. the flag is very heavy so i don't really care lah... must watch the rerun... XP)... hahaha... maybe it's just me... but i just thought that since it's the last parade that's gonna be held there maybe you guys should make it more huge and interesting...

XP renovation works for my house begin today... thank god i m not in there to hear all the noises that they are going to make... hahaha.. but my mum is gonna have a earful of it... its started on thurs lah.. there was tis letter frm a parent (i think is a mum) she wrote to say tat her kid had a piece of work n one of the qns was to choose which multiple choice was right. 2 of the choices were 'get on the bus' n 'get in the bus'... she told her kid tat the ans was 'get in the bus' but the teacher marked it wrong n said tat the ans was 'get on the bus'.. parent asked around n most of them say 'get in', one of her friends told her it mostly was 'get on' but she felt 'get in' was the right english as 'get on' literally means to get on top of the bus 0.0... n asked moe to set a standard instructions for the teachers... after finish reading tis article, i ask my mum about it.. 'get in' or 'get on' she told me it was 'get on' n amazingly... so did my bro.. hahahaha... we had a "violent" argument on the 'in n on' but set it on another topic... the chair... 'sit on the chair' or 'sit in the chair'... for me, i tot both were right.. but they tot otherwise, they rather preferred 'sit on'.. duh humbug... ah... now i tot of another 'joke'.. 'get in the cab or 'get on the cab'?

next was the 'pitch dark' n 'pitch black' controversy...
one letter on fri's newspaper caught my attention too... another parent wrote in conjunction to thurs's article. it says something like a couple of years ago his kid oso face the same thing... qn was, "the night was ___ outside." choices included 'pitch dark' and 'pitch black'. kid picked 'pitch black' but it was marked wrong. personally i feel tat the ans was 'pitch dark' n the feeling was unanimous... my mum n bro agree that it was 'pitch dark'... but further tots... mayb both are correct... or mayb my english is lousy... hahaha...

but personally, i felt that its onli a figure of speech... depends on how u interpret i guess... i use both juz in the same way at different times.. so to me they are correct... whether its bcuz i have lousy understanding of english or watever... hahaha.. its dumb... watever... go figure... ah... gonna go study maths le... darn it... till then... ciao... like i say.. its all rambling rubbish... hahaha... big news... veri big news... 2 female hamsters in my house has give birth... ^.^ well... not at e same time but they delivered the babies 3 days apart. 1st proud mamma gave birth to 5 lil' ham hams on sunday n the 2nd proud mamma gave birth to 4 lil' ham hams this morning... they are still veri pinky n winky... hope they grow fur soon...

had a veri dumb accident on thurs...

i was sleeping when my dad call to ask me to go down n find my grams... so i woke up n went down... hahhaa... didnt realize tat one of the lifts was spoiled... well... it didnt look or sound spoil so i took it... i was playing 'tertis' so didnt notice tat the lift was not moving... onli when i had too much 'holes' in it then i notice tat it wasnt reali moving... the indicator inside e lift was spoiled for a long time so i dun reali know which floor i m... i didnt want to wake anyone up so i didnt press e alarm... hahaha... but i did press e rest of the buttons... XP then i called my dad to tell him to go look for my grams himself cuz i was struck in e lift... he then tell me tat one of the dumb lifts was spoiled... i told him i was in e spoiled lift... he was like 'huh?'... well... he's abit hard if hearing at time lah... so he gave the phone to my mum n i have to repeated myself again... then she told me the same story... its spoiled n i did e same... then she dropped the bombshell.... juz press e 'door open' button n e lift will open again... (_ _|||)

hahaha.... didnt know to cry or laugh.... i press every single button but e one tat open e door.... crabs... wat a joke... toopid lift, toopid me...

wats with the weather? its been so hot tis few days... crabs... had a sudden urge to have ice cream ytd... ever since my block n its surrounding started its upgrading i dun buy ice creams home from e shops anymore... cuz i have to take a huge detour to get them back home... which means by the time they reach home, they have already started to melt... =(

hahahah... but i was dying to have ice cream so i have to take a risk of having them melt in their bags... n since i m eating them... i have to buy some back for my family... i m so gd... XD so i decide to buy them at the mrt's cheers so as to save me from making a huge detour n pass my house twice... it takes around 8-10 mins to reach my house from the mrt... i had to run all the way home... wat a sight...with a can of drink in one hand n a cheer's bag on the other n a bag full of bks... XD but they din reali melt lah... juz abit thaw... thank god... ^~^

its still so hot today... *wishing for lots n lots of rain soon...*

wah... all of sudden... so bz... y? cuz my grams had a fall at jp on wed... some i**** bump into her... she has a leg fracture... crabs... n the docs at nuh says tat she need to do an op. she was crying all about it saying tat she dun wanna do it... n tat she had live for so long never been in a hospital for such a long period of time, never had any major sicknesses etc etc... had a hard time calming her... she's 88. but e doc did say if she didnt do e op, she would have to be wheelchair-bound forever n bed-bound for e 1st few mths... which would have been much worse... but he did say tat even if she have had e op, it's not confirmed tat she can still walk... but at least there's hope... as along as she takes care n goes for her physio mayb she can still walk... well, tats better then nothing i guess... cuz knowing her... she gonna hate being struck to a wheelchair... i'm gonna pray for e best results of coz... n for all interested, e op is on nxt mon afternoon... i'm gonna need lots of luck n fingers crossing...

heyo... i have been missing for a long long time already... XD

yeah... i know i ought to be murdered... but between projects' deadlines, major exams, dead and lousy computer, chalet, nuts trips and most of all, i m lazi... >~<
now that i can be considered free... i will try(try) to update...

what i did...
- went to chalet with parents...
- went to treetop walk with parents...
- went to malaysia with parents...
- get dumb laptop from ling jie...
- see movies with dia and ling jie...
- play games with everyone... including warcraft with my bro... (got force into it... i sucks at this too...)
- burn pictures i took at treetop into cd rw... (will put them here if i like them...)

and now... nothing to do... the weather is too hot to do anything... the hotter it gets, the more lazi i become... hope that the weather will get better... and the upgrading works at the bottom of my flat will finish asap... they are blocking my way... i have to walk a whole round before i could get to the market... wed, we woke up early for the network classes... sian... whole day network... hahaha... end up we took cab home... all 4 of us... make the driver run 3 places... he like turtle sia... drive so slow... average 80 onli... after ling jie n yi jie go le... he onli go at 70... wait to reach home like siao...

thurs... hahaha.... we completely skip le... went bugis to shop... took neoprints oso... toopid machine... y they dun make no time limit de... make us rush... hahaha.... make alot of noise in e booth... everytime oso like tis... we veri bad sia... went back to sch for nite class... completely no energy le... din even try to do e lab n stuffs... juz waiting to go home.... end up we took cab home again... hahaha.... for 2 days... haiz... we sure tired n lazi... at least tis time e driver was faster.... hahaha....

hi hi.... ^.^ finally... i updated... yayaya... i know i havent been updating for a long time....
so murder me... if u can XP school reopen like a month ago? around that time lah...
and the lecturers r so boring... most.... n the time i spend in the theatre is either sleeping
or leaving.. half of each.... havent even half a sem n i'm skipping lessons like an idiot eating supper...

so long never update le.... had a long holiday since it's national day, three straight days... but y not tuesday too... had to go back to school for maths but cuz we were late for tutorial, we only attended the lecture for 1 hr... hahaha... we actually had internet pro makeup but cuz we still in holiday mood, we decided to go see 'the village'. actually decided to see on wed de... but we high on hoilday 'drug' so end up we watch it on tues.... managed to only get mingyi to join us.... wednesday, we joined mingyi and fengling for the makeup internet pro class... and e big bad teacher for dunno wat lesson nearly made lydia cry cuz we had wanted to ask him about lydia's work but dunno how come it disappear le... hate him sia... (>.<) next time he make lydia cry i cook him and feed the dogs ah... thursday, went on another hike... this time with mingyi and lydia too.... hahaha... we walked from citylink -> marina square -> suntec -> citylink -> raffles shopping -> ps -> cineleisure -> taka.... hahaha.... we walk alot that day sia... had a rest at ps cuz lydia and mingyi was really veri tired le... we ate and drink abit then went to cineleisure.... cuz lydia was meeting her dear at taka... and the three of us wanted to have a look oso ma so three veri xtra bright lightbulbs made her dear come to cineleisure to look for lydia... hahaha.... but we veri bad, we ditched them both at kino without saying bye bye.... ("P) cuz her dear ask her to 'pei' us but we oso ask her to 'pei' her dear... but what can a couple do with three veri xtra bright lightbulbs.... dia... dun blame us for ditching u o... friday, late for internet pro lecture so didnt go in.... had lunch early since fengling and mingyi decided not to attend e-com lecture... then went to look for a tutorial room to rot cuz we decided to wait for them till 3... but rot till half, a teacher come and use the room for his lesson so we got 'chased' out... look for another room then another.... at last 3 le.... can go home zzzz le.... saturday, had pig trotters in vinegar and stingray in chili for dinner.... yum yum.... today, nothing to do... see tv do work do project..... boring....

'very bad' was loud le.... but somehow they even worse.... headache sia.... still got to hand in that toopid sem.pro de gui interface on thurs.... now gonna go do and see le.... ciao...

nearly too lazy to wake up today.... thanks to lydia o.... everyday waste so many smses on me.... when we reach the lab we still had to wait for like 15-20 mins.... cuz the teacher didnt have the keys to open the door.... i even had enough time to go down and get a sandwich and a can of green tea.... at like 1040, someone from singtel called.... i was still having lesson so i ask her to call later... but when she call back i accidentally 'kill' her call.... haiz... i waited... but she didnt call back.... why... i wanna know what she want mah.... why didnt call back.... then we went ltn5 to wait for fengling and mingyi.... we decided to go dhoby ghaut again.... this time i manage to eat takoyaki... \(^.^)/ hahaha.... but as we were walking to sunshine plaza, the sky begins to drizzle.... and we found that shop which sells the 'aishiteru ze baby' keychains.... we thought how big wor.... but they were small small ones.... but they were cute too.... then as we were leaving sunshine, we had the most crazy idea.... dia.... you should thank heaven and earth that you didnt come wor.... dont regret not coming.... cuz we walk from p.s all the way to far east o.... hahaha.... nutters man... so we walk and walk and walk to far east.... then we went from level 4 all the way down to level 1.... that's when we saw or mayb only i see and drool lah, a food store 'shih lin' which has this..... xxl crispy fried chicken on their menu.... they also had oyster mee sua.... we bought one and share.... cuz wanna know if they were as big as those shown on tv in taiwan or not.... well... the size was quite big... they sprinkle some powder on top of the chicken when they finish frying it.... there was like abit of salt, pepper and five-spices powder in it.... so making it abit spicy cum salty.... and it was fulling too sia.... after finish eating... we decided to take the bus home... but it was drizzling... so in the end we took the mrt home..... we saw alot of food today o.... too bad we cant eat them all... but we had this crack-up idea.... that's if a shopping mall were to open a whole level devoted to foods that would be soo great.... esp those that are yum yum yum de.... *drool drool drool*

p.s. just for those who interested in 'shih lin', they're going to open a new branch at the end of july at junction 8....

haiz... so tired.... crash into me bed upon reaching home sia.... havent bathe at all, juz sleep all the way till 1530 then slowly walk like turtle to the bathroom.... had a shower then went to cook some maggi.... yesterday oodp was boring.... tat teacher came again and told us tat she could see what we doing from the reflection of the glass.... rite, like we didnt know 'bout it at all.... she practically say that us every wk since she start teaching us..... and we knew about the reflections ever since last year.... we're not that dumb... yeah..... juz finish reformatting my computer..... install everything oso.... \(^^)/ went to jurong east juz now to help my mum deposit a few cheques then went to the cash convertors there to see if there were any nice vcds to buy or not.... found anime gto vol 11 to 30.... but too bad i cant find vol 1 to 10 there.... never mind slowly find loh... hehehe.... bought them at 3 bucks each....
